WTB: Ozgear parts or unit

Postby Kid_Carbine » Fri Aug 17, 2007 2:30 am

In an attempt to authentically complete the restoration of my 1937 Carbine racer & need to secure some more parts to allow me to complete the 3 speed Ozgear deraileur that I have for it. I am in a position to trade some 4 speed parts.
When you remember that not only were these made from about 1933 up to the early 50's, but were the post populsr deraileur on earth prior to WW2, there should be something in almost everybody's collections.

I will buy parts, or a complete unit, & I also seek 3 speed, [1/8" chain] freewheels, preferably new ones that are threaded right through, along with single speed freewheels. Non Japanese prefered, but everything considered.

I thank you one & all.

I don't know about Ozgear parts, but one guy that is local here (Adelaide) has a shedfull of bits sells a alot of stuff on ebay.

Look him up under his seller ID of olivertwist$

His name is Rolf. He has a couple of bikes with the early Cyclo rear derailuer, and has a collection of old Aussie bikes, so may be able to help.

Thanks Michael, I will see if I can contact him.

When I am able to post up a picture [in a day or so] I will give you a look at what an Ozgear system looks like. Very odd to the eye of those who have been fed a diet of blandness in design, for those who have been raised on pantograph designs.
BOOOOORING.
