WTS - Perth - Giant CFR3 road bike - SOLD

Postby tallywhacker » Sun Dec 09, 2007 9:56 pm

In the past 4 years I have ridden this a dozen times at the most. I just don't enjoy riding geared bikes anymore and it has to go to make way for my new fixed gear bike.
Image
It is a 1996 Giant CFR3
The main triangle is oversized carbon tubes with aluminium lugs, the rear triangle is 6061 aluminium. The fork is 1" threaded aluminium.

Size: seat tube c-c - 59cm, top tube c-c 58cm
Shifters: Shimano 105 8 speed STI
Front/Rear Derallieur: Shimano 105
Crank: Sugino GP130 175cm
Chainrings: Sugino 53/42t
Cluster: Shimano 8 speed (dont know the range)
Bottom Bracket: Shimano UN72 (I think)
Chain: Shimano HG Narrow
Brakes: Tektro dual pivot
Brake/gear cables: Shimano
Seatpost: Fuji 27.2mm
Saddle: Specialized Body Geometry Milano (my son pinched the road saddle for his bike)
Stem: 3TTT 110cm oyster clamp quill
Headset: Shimano 105
Bars: Scott drop-in 2 bars
Wheels: Sun-Ringle MZ14 36 spoke semi deep V 700c
Tyres: Continental Grand Prix
Hubs: Shimano Tiagra
Bottle cage, no pedals (I have Wellgo rat traps with toe clips if you want)

4 years ago the bike went into Quantum Cycles. The tubes and lug bonds were given a clean bill of health. It was stripped back and refinished in black 2pac. The shifters were overhauled (it can be done) and just show normal signs of wear and tear (leaned against too many walls), the rubbers have been replaced. All cables have been replaced.

Looking for $450. Will send east at buyers expense. Available for viewing and test ride.

Pity the bike is too large for me ...

I used to have a CFR ... sold it years ago, and now have been looking around for a nice one to come by.

How tall are you jonesy? Thats a large frame, you'd want to be relatively tall to fit it.
