WTS: Cinelli Frame, Campag Veloce 9sp + other stuff

Dear all,

Update 21st April : Bike will be split and sold as components.

Make me an offer I can't refuse 042 111 9249

Update 13th April : The bike is complete and has been for a few shakedown rides and is fantastic. However, it is still up for grabs as a complete bike, or sans the Mavic Aksium wheelset.

Call me on 042 111 9249 if interested.

I'm still in two minds whether to sell and save up for a custom steel frame (yep, it is good), or fit a schmick groupset/wheelset once I've done the 10,000km on the LeMond.

NO SERIOUS OFFER REFUSED

Due to some recent changes in circumstances (got a new job now) and busy cycling, it looks like I won't be able to complete the project of getting a classic un-used Cinelli Steel frame back into service.

The setup has everything bar the seatpost, saddle, pedals and chain.

I am willing to consider REASONABLE offers on the whole lot, or may well separate to aid in disposal if people are interested.

What is up for grabs :

Un-used Cinelli Proxima Trophy Frameset (Columbus Thron tubing) see here for pics, measurements & details
Campag Veloce 9sp full Groupset incl. 3 rear clusters (13-23, 12-26 & 12-28) all in used but good condition
Frame has Ritchey Head set bearings installed (new)
3TTT Oyster style quill stem (shadow chrome finish)
2 sets classic bend handlebars ((one has internal cable routing)
26.4mm Dia Campag Alloy Seat post (frame needs 27.0mm  )
Mavic Aksium Wheelset incl 28C Conti GP 4 Season tyres
New Campag ErgoPower Cable set
Cinelli Volare SLX seat - very comfy
Ritchey Alloy seatpost
Spare brake pads (various compounds)

Make me an offer I can't refuse and do the bike justice :D

Please RING me on my mobile, as I won't be able to get on here regularly, so PLEASE call 042 111 9249

Just put it aside. You'll finish it one day. It's only has a few items left to go. I longed to see them both side by side. Mine is the best feeling bike I have ever ridden. Don't deny yourself. Once you've got it on the road you'll know what I mean about how it feels.

Sell the Lemond or one of the other projects if the funds have dried up.

Initial post updated.

The bike is complete and rolling and is a great ride.

I am happy to listen to offeres for the complete bike, or sans the wheelset, so give me a call and idcuss.

Test rides welcome.

If it sells, I'll save the biccies for a Baum or similar, or update the frame with a schmick groupset and set of wheels.

Oh, and complete, the bike weighs in at a reasonable 10.3kg, and that is with a heavy wheelset !!!!

Cheers

If you're selling the Cinelli Volare SLX saddle, I'll put my hand up for that one.

But why sell it the bike! Keep it all!

Would love to keep it all, but plans have evolved.

Will have some pics up in next day or two and dimensions on the bars.

Pics and details up of all bits.

Wheels are silver Aksiums, and don't look any different from those seen on the web. They are in good nick, and I have the spline to make them either Campag or Shimano compatible. Or if you want the sleeve, it's an extra $65.

Cheers

FS list updated.

Handlebars are gone (thanks Rusty Chisel), and frame has an offer (awaiting collection).

Groupset is driving it's way back to Canberra.

Cheers

Remaining parts are now on eBay.

Chorus seatpost is not there yet, as I need to get some better pics.

Frame has gone as well (as long as the person actually pics it up).

If some one wants any of the parts, let me know anbd we can sort it out off eBay

Cheers
