WTB MEL Older-style long pull brakes

Postby Patches » Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:32 pm

Gday all

I'm after some long pull (I think this is the term?) brakes for a singlespeed I'm building from an older frame - modern brakes don't reach the rim. I would need front and back.

I can get them for $50 for the pair, but I'd imagine someone has some lying around that they'd part ways with for a bit less than that.

Pickup in Melbourne would be ideal, but I'm happy to pay for postage if it's not too much.

Thanks :)

They don't look like longdrops to me... :?

If it's to fit 700c wheels on a 27" frame then you'd need something like THESE

Would they not be suitable? Thank you for warning me, I was getting ready to buy them!
