WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmHi all,
I'm putting the feelers out again for a new frame. I'm interested in something Italian/European in a 60-62cm size in high quality steel. Will also consider Asian stuff if its a high quality tubeset. Kind regards, Ben
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmEdit: may consider aluminium if its interesting ie early cannondale or euro stuff.
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmBump. Being tall sucks
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmTell me about it
I have a few that I'm sure you'd like, but not looking to sell Keep an eye on eBay, every now and then decent stuff pops up, abducted being taller reduces the competition a bit. I got a NOS merkcx corsa extra for $400 landed
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmBeing short isn't great either. I got tired of trying to find the right sized steel frame secondhand and ended up buying new.
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cm
I'd agree on the ebay front, I've seen larger frames go for reasonable prices. The only thing I've got in your size is n o old custom tourer. Not what you're looking for though:)
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cm60-62 cm style frame is not that big. I'm 5"10 and comfortably fit a 24" frame with 11cm plus saddle sticking out of the top tube.
Also have you got anything against a good quality Aussie built frame. I'd have one of them over a Euro anytime. European stuff is overrated. ![]()
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmYou must have long legs! I'm 6ft and find that a 58/9 fits me best, otherwise standover height is getting too close for comfort
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmHave you tried LFGSS? Seems to be a stack of stuff coming out of Holland, you might get one shipped for a reasonable price. Give you some unique style points too. I was looking at a 62cm Columbus Cromor Jan Janssen that would've cost me A$500 to land here. Pretty reasonable, I thought.

Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmthe price is silly, but something like this in your size is a rarity one would think! maybe have a chat to him, sweet talk him/her to a more reasonble price!

Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmI've got a 61 cm Miyata 1400 Alumitech with Shimano 105 gruppo, I might pass on.

Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmWe need to start a club with some rules. I've seen you guys snaffle frames that I liked before. Conversely, I've gotten frames from some of you.
Don't have a spare frame that I'm willing to give up at the moment, sorry.
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmI think I tried to start a BNA Tall Guys (and Girls) Club...didn't get far.
Cast that net far and wide for something. Email Andy at Fyxo, he's always got something. Had a NOS 531C Gazelle CM AA on eBay recently that was really nice. Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cmFyxo has a 61cm Magni on ebay at the moment This is a frame I bought in London and restored before onselling to Andy. The decals were an absolutely faithful reproduction of the originals by Cyclomondo for this frame, and I have photos of the frame as it was before and after the restoration. It is a lovely ride and quite stiff with the SPX tubing.
Re: WTB: Anywhere. High quality steel frame. 60-62cm
careening OT, but I *really* wish this forum had a more digest form of thread subscription, particularly like bikeforums.net. Just getting one e-mail until you then go an read the thread is a bit crap. You tend to lose interest rapidy when most of the updates are just off the cuff remarks or there's a wave of semantic pi55 fighting over something inane. It either kills the thread or you've long forgotten it even if it has revived. Kym
