WTS (SYD) wheels x 3 sets shimano Campagnolo

Postby rogerrabbit » Sun Jan 27, 2013 6:41 pm

First set is a 1991 pair with shimano 600 hubs on Mavic Open 4 CD rims 36h with Stainless 2mm straight gauge spokes. New continental Ultra Sport tyres. 8/9/10 speed compatible. These were built new for me and have been bulletproof. They still spin perfectly smooth and straight. They would have 20,000 km or more on them and there is wear on the braking surfaces, but I think the have another 10k in them yet. $80 including tyres.

Shimano R500 wheelset. Wheels only without cassette. $50, little use.

Campagnolo high flange 32h 126mm rear laced to Mavic Open Pro silver rims with Sapim spokes. Conti Ultra Sport tyres. Rim decals removed for retro look. Perfect order and hubs are in excellent shape mechanically and cosmetically. $200 with tyres, no freewheel.

I will sell the Shimano 600 wheels without tyres/tubes for $40. A cheap set of reliable wheels. I am cleaning out in preparation for a house renovation so these extra wheels need to go.

If I hadn't just replaced my commute wheels with some 600 to Rigida DP18's I'd be all over these. Someone grab these bargains please! If these don't go soon, I might be interested in the hubs for that price.

Are the R500's still available? My rear wheel on the commuter just died and I'm in the market. I can pickup from Annandale.

:( I wish I saw this earlier, would have taken the open4Cd's and 600 hubs. They would have been worth a pretty penny when they were first built.
I ride several bicycles, but not at once.
