WTS [BNE] 60cm Steel frame & fork

Postby Dan » Mon Feb 25, 2013 3:17 pm

57TT 60ST Steel road frame and fork - I understand its a superlite, but can't confirm this. 26.6 post, tange levin headset, shimano bottom bracket. Bosses for racks.

Has been resprayed - is structurally sound and would come up nicely, but could be built up as is. Some surface rusting on the underside of the top tube, after further inspection.

Includes seatpost, headset and bottom bracket.

Asking $70. Even though the Internet leads me to believe a superlite is worth $500 ;)

Can ship if really really really necessary, at buyer's expense.

EDIT: There you go children.

Since I keep misplacing my common sense down the shed, I guess I'll have to borrow someone elses off the internet.

Ha! Not on my screen - maybe the image is hosted in the northern hemisphere?

Shame you weren't in Perth, I'd consider it... but probably not worth postage, even though it's my proportions.

Not sure what you mean by rack bosses ? They're usually on the seat stays above the rear brake bridge. Didn't think the Repco Roadies had them.

I'd best clarify - what I'm referring to are the eyelets topside of the rear dropouts, and under/inside of the fork dropouts. Guard eyelets, not rack mounts at all! Apologies to all those wishing to build a 45kg tourer!

+2 for early superlite. Exactly the same details, seat stay tops, fork crown as mine. My serial number starts with G also, so maybe a Giant built frame. Heavy, but good geometry. They ride well.
