WTB - Sydney - 700c wheelset, freewheel hub 126mm rear

Postby TedDancin » Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:57 pm

Hello all,

I'm looking for a new (to me) set of wheels for my steely commuter, but haven't had much luck finding any. I'm after a set of 700c road wheels, with a screw-on freewheel hub on rear and 126mm spacing.

Ideally looking for something 1980s Japanese, Araya rims on Sunshine hubs or similar, but not too fussy. Will pay whatever you think they're worth, and happy to swap for any retro parts I've got. I can pickup most places around Sydney. Would settle for just the rear if you have one lying around.

Thanks for any help.

What's your budget ted?

I do have a set of Wolber GTX (er, might be GTA, not in the shed ATM) rims laced up to a front 105 hub, rear is a lesser 7 speed shimano hub but it's cassette rather than screw-on freewheel. Good to go for 126mm. difficulty: postage from 2350. PM if you're interested. Good, solid commuter/trainng wheelset though.

but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.
