Hi Folks.

Looking to move this beast on to a new home.

Tery Davey 56.5cm road bike.I purchased this about 5 years ago from the original owner who had it made for him in the 70's. He told me the frame was 531 but theres no decal to verify this. the groupset is the very first generation of Dura Ace and is complete down to hubs, headset and cable clips. the RD is a Crane one which is correct for this groupset as for some reason Shimano didnt offter a DA one this early. It has Cinelli bars and stem, Brooks saddle (b17 i think) and is in lovely condition. its done very little riding and the condition of the components reflects this. the only real flaws are some scratches to the paint and light surface rust on some of the groupset bolts, nuts and steel fittings, but should polish off with a bit of effort. Hoods are also perished

awesome piece of South Aussie cycling history.

$680

The Crane RD is a Dura Ace RD. Shimano offered the Crane as part of the DA group. They just didn't have their branding sorted out yet

Nice bike and good price IMHO. I am a big fan of the early DA stuff.

Thanks for the info Rogerrabbit. It is a cool bike for sure. If it doesnt sell I wont exactly be disappointed, but the money would go a long way toward my 29er build.
