Item: Apollo Mixte frame and fork (Champion No.5 steel).

Size: Seattube 56cm (c-t), Effective Toptube 55cm (c-c)

Additional: Nice forged horizontal dropouts. Nice frame made in Japan. Better quality than the usual mixte and bigger than a lot of them, too! If you’re over 5’7” or so and have been looking for a mixte you know how tough it is to find the larger ones. This should be good for folks up to 6’ or so.

Rear spacing is 130mm. So it’s perfect for a modern groupset/wheels.

Item Condition: Straight, decent, paint is coming away in a few parts, a little surface rust, nothing terminal. Would be a great candidate for a blast/powdercoat (especially as so many people get their cheap gaspipe mixtes repainted and this one is a cut above your average mixte.)

Location: Melbourne. Pickup from Brunswick or Broadmeadows. I would consider shipping but would rather sell locally if possible.
Price: $80
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash,
Contact details: PM

Item: Geoffrey Butler frame (no fork)
Size: Seattube 59.5cm, Toptube 58cm (both c-c)
Additional: Nice British steel frame (likely 531). 120mm rear spacing, no dt brazeons, no top tube cable guides, no bidon mounts. Clearance for (at least 32mm tyres with mudguards)
Item Condition: Somebody put some silver spraypaint around the lugs but apart from that paint is pretty good for a 40+ yo frame (I guess it’s from late 60s/early 70s). Light surface rust in parts but nothing of any concern.
Location: Melbourne. Pickup from Brunswick or Broadmeadows. I would consider shipping but would rather sell locally if possible.
Price: $70
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash,

Item: Grand Bois French Style Randonneur bar (made by Nitto). Link HERE. Super curvy bars modelled after an old French bar (AVA I think?). Pricier than other GB bars because of the shaping. 25.4 clamp, 41cm wide

Item condition: Good. A bunch of tape residue (cos Cinelli cork tape) but there aren’t any significant scratches or anything. The shape didn’t suit my hands so they didn’t get much use at all.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick & Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $35 + postage
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash, etc

Item: Cinelli Giro D’Italia. Early 60s era (the three bands of indents at the clamp indicate that they were from the first few years of Cinelli’s alloy bars. 40cm wide, 26.0 clamp

Item condition: Lots of scratches around the clamp. Very functional but they won’t win any beauty pageant. Will look better after a polish but don’t expect a miracle.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick & Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $35 + postage
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash, etc

Item: 3T bars. 80s era? 36cm wide, 25.8mm clamp. Excellent shape to them, very similar to the modern Deda Newton Deep drops. Hard to find good narrow drops if you like ‘em that way (like Mickey from Spooky)

Condition: Good, usable, some marks etc.
Location: Melbourne. Brunswick & Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $15 + postage
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash, etc

Item: Aussie made drops from the 1930s (I believe). 40cm wide. On the clamp is patent lists (Australia, NZ, India and Canada!). Cool shape, sorta similar to Major Taylor bars but a little different.

Item condition: Excellent! I got them replated (nickel plate) and I don’t think I’ve used them since.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick & Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $60 + postage
Payment: Paypal, direct deposit, cash, etc

Item: Vintage bars and stem from 1940s, I think. 39cm wide.

Item condition: Plating is pretty stuffed. Also there is some surface rust from when my 2yo put the hose into one of my tubs of parts and I didn’t know it was filled with water for a day or two. That rust will come off really easily. I just haven’t gotten around to doing it.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick & Broadmeadows. Happy to post.

Item: Handlebar mounted bottle cage with two small Coloral bottles. These are really rare and unusual! Check out the size of the bottles against a regular 600mL bottle. These are about 180mL, I guess? Anyway, they’re really cool.

Item condition: I bought the caps NOS, the cage has a pre-decimal price tag on it. I don’t know if it was used or not. One bottle has a dent in it but it doesn’t detract, in my opinion. No mounting hardware is included.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $250 + postage

Item: Reg clamp bottle cage (from 50s)
Item condition: NOS or close to it. Doesn’t appear to be used

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Happy to post.
Price: $50 + postage

Item: Pair of Sun CR18 rims, 700c, 36 hole
Item condition: One is barely used (100km or so?), the other had about 1000kms on it.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post but would rather not.
Price: $40 + postage

Item: Ambrosio rims 26 x 1 3/8 (Raleigh size), 36 hole
Item condition: NOS, still with some wrapping paper around them. I paid a heap of money for these cos a friend said they wanted to modernise their Raleigh. Turns out they didn’t want to pay “that” much. My loss.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post but would rather not.

Item: Dia Compe 750 brakes. Nutted and/or recessed (hardware for both).
Item condition: Unused. Didn’t need them.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post.
Price: $50 + postage

Item: Dia Compe centrepull brakes with TA “Porteur” rack. Yep, TA call that mini rack the porteur. The rando version is even tinier. Nutted brakes.

Item condition: Good, used. Could do with a clean but whatevs. The rack is designed for Mafac Racers and I was using it on them when I decided I wanted to try it on these brakes. Had to bend it all sorts of ways to make it work. So, it was a failed experiment, basically. Still, it all works, just looks pretty crappy. You could probably bend it back and run it on Mafacs if you are keen.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post.
Price: $50 + postage

A picture showing how wonky the rack is / how bad my plier work was

Item: Universal 68 brakes and levers.
Item condition: Very good. Levers have Shimano hoods, though.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post.
Price: $40 + postage
Contact details: PM
Image

Item: Stem from 1920s or 1930s
Item condition: Lots of surface rust but no major problems. A scour or replate would be good.

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Will post.
Price: $10 + postage
Contact details: PM

Item: Honjo fenders 700c, 43mm wide, fluted, NO HARDWARE (readily available at Commuter Cycles and other places)
Item condition: Unused

Location: Melbourne. Brunswick or Broadmeadows. Would rather not post but probably could.
Price: $50 + postage

Actually, having slept on it now - I realised my heart was mainly on the bars. Unless something unforseen happens with LugNut & the bars - I'll hold off on the Tubus Luna.

My apologies kevinwulf for stuffing him around. He was very quick & comprehensive with payment/shipping info for me, just for any other prospective buyers.

Damn thee to hell, LugNut :P

Ahh, sorry Humber. I do remember being beaten to a very nice Carradice saddle bag once upon a time  Early birds etc etc...

I did hold off on taking the Tubas rack to give somebody else a shot, my Dawes doesn't have any seat stay braze ons so it would be perfect.

Add it to the order.
