WTS
Ron Whitehorn built lightweight road/strada frameset, no damage nor major rust obvious, yet some surface rust on chrome forks and drops.
Unfortunately frame has been painted with rattle can in flouro green so would require a renovation to maintain this retrospective era in cycles. >57x57c-c.
$50 will get you this a good starter project or create a fixie If you prefer...
Best Regards, 5*Rolf .

Rolf,
Use photobucket or ImageShack to post pics.
I may be interested in the frame as well.
Cheers

...not certain as to which type of tubing used, may be Reynolds as Ron seemed to prefer it.
I know Ron was a very respected frame builder of his own brand and then later he made frames titled Macini. He was a very good rider just as his son Deane however Ron was hit-run whilst riding over an Adelaide bridge and passed away as a result. Deane still rides, though has had some bouts with cancer, still making good placings in the Outer Harbour vets races, TDU vets races and more. He is over 70 years young.
As for the frameset...it appears to be sold, awaiting payment.
If transaction aborts I will inform the group.
Cheers, 5*R .

No the colour is irrelevant.
I'm after a frame constructed from either Reynolds 531 or Columbus steel.
If it has track ends it would be perfect.Preferably in Adelaide, cos postage is a killer.
thanks 5* Rolf, let me know if it falls through.

Postage for a well packaged, average size bare frame (and fork) shouldn't cost much more than $15 Registered from most major capitals to Adelaide.... It is when you start getting larger 57cm+ frames that AusPost might not accept it. Length can not exceed 1.05m, whilst it cannot exceed 140cm measured around the narrower 'circumference'.....
