Well, finished up the wife's single speed, and added the final bit to my fixie, Charge spoon saddle.

The wife wanted something comfy rather then sporty, so flipped the drop bars to suit

Cant beat dumpster searching!

Did you use a clear coats on the white bike?

I have done 2 white bikes, The first i didnt clear coat and the paint was prone to chip even after about 4-5 coats.

The second i clear coated but i think i went overboard and the white got a yellow tinge

A pleasure to read Jase, it's great to see these old bikes getting a second life on the road. Although, I feel a little soft riding 42/17 now!

I've been riding one for the past two months, just hit 1,000km on it and still loving it. The longest ride I do without padded knicks is 5km though...hope this helps.

cheers

All looking sweet Jase. Very Impressive. I was a bit worried about a wire brush on alloy, so I sat there with autosol and a toothbrush. Plus side of that is that I now have extremely shiny fillings :)

Absolutely brilliant!
I love your white fixie converted from that old repco.
I think I will try and make a fixie (from an old frame off ebay) that looks similar to this and this : http://www.boutiquecycles.com/bikes/det ... s_delight/

Simply brilliant!
