Post your Fixie picciesRe: Post your Fixie picciesYeah, the Kona is butted cromo , so should be utilitarian tough. The sloping TT is not to my liking aesthetically , but the ride is really quite good. At least it doesn't have a unicrown fork, I hate those things. I had an 09 Bowery from new some years back and this thing poops all over it for ride quality, and at 9.6kg for it's size it's not a heavy old pig like a lot of the Plain gauge internet specials. Spec of parts is Ok for the coin, and can be upgraded as it wears. Took it for a run on my usual commute route today to see if it suits. The 42/16 saw me spinning a little too much on the way in, but was spot on for the elevated ride home. May change to a 15 on the rear yet and see if it's any better.
Re: Post your Fixie picciesHere's my ride
Not everyone will like the frame as it's a Potential Of Hydrogen PH01 but to me I like it...for a first bike to own it is great for me...as it's something that I can use to learn off in terms of parts and maint... A lot of the original parts from the PH01 are now gone and been replaced, still going to do a few more things to it before I move on to building my own "Proper" bike... Well here it is hanging on a bike stand at work... ![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: Post your Fixie piccies
Wow, that's one tight rear end Brian, how long are those chainstays? Triple triangle frame always catch my eye. Now, onto the brake. Who set it up with the QR open? Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Post your Fixie piccies
Not exactly sure how long the chain stays are, haven't really measured it...and withe brakes they are actually closed now I was adjusting it while it was hanging up at work...

Re: Post your Fixie piccies
Looks super! If you're ever looking to offload, you know who to call. I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.
Re: Post your Fixie picciesThanks Dan
Probably wont ever sell it, my son saw it last night and is out riding it as we speak, be lucky if I ever get to ride it now al

Re: Post your Fixie picciesVery nice.....
if only th decals on downtube is gold too... I like the seatpost the most as it matches in so well....what it is?
Re: Post your Fixie picciesIt's a carbon seatpost made especially for that frame bro.
Nah gold decals would look whack! The gold wheels are pretty wnky as it is
Re: Post your Fixie picciescan try black rims and go all ninja if you think gold is too wnky....I think the colour scheme worked for this frame...

Re: Post your Fixie piccies
There you go. The gold on white is very, well, Singha...
Re: Post your Fixie piccies![]() Unknown (probably Aussie) maker, big, solid. Put the Suntour Edge cranks on for now to see how it fits, going for something more suitable soon (and not 53!). BLB sealed bearing hubs on deep V running a 17T fixed one side, 15T fixed the other. Got some platforms and SGB straps to alternate with SPD's depending on mood. Got a drilled fork that will fit straight on for braked use. Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile
Re: Post your Fixie piccies
Rock on ! Is this a replacement for the bent one?
Re: Post your Fixie picciesYep. Identical geo and size as the bent one. Seller (most excellently) shipped this one down free as a replacement, and we agreed to bin the other one. Swapped the fork, headset and BB over and plugged the rest on. Stripped the paint off the fork when I was convinced it was fully chromed, so it looks good with the red frame.
