Add a chunkier fork = more win. Those SRAM levers sit perfectly on those bars.

My first thought was if it wasn't for the super spindly forks that could be virtually new. Amazing stuff for late 80s.

Put this together for Ms HLC last night.

Replaces her clunker SE Draft lite.

Image

Frame/Fork/headset: Colossi Cheeko Satin fluro pink with dual bidon mounts / Colossi Carbon alloy satin black / Neco sealed bearing
Cranks / BB / Pedals: Sram Omnom / GXP / BMX flats
Wheels: H+Son TB14 / Hoshi double butted spokes / Formula hubs / Conti 25c's
Chain / Freewheel: KMC / Shimano
Bars / Stem: Scottykent riz0rz / Deda
Brakes: Tektro levers / Campag Veloce Dual pivots
Saddle / Post: Selle Italia / Thomson knock-off.
Other: BB bidon cages.

The colour is absolutely MENTAL. Blurs in every photo in natural light! Need a better camera/place to take photos.

Anyway, just took it for a 30k maiden voyage. She loves it. Thanks Gypsy for organising frameset / cranks / rims. More than one smile around the house tonight!

Given up on the roadie and MTB but still take out the fixie for short rides...

Not many of these around, perhaps they were not that great? Belt system works well..

Yeah.. Due to a neck injury riding for more than an hour causes too much pain. So rather than give up cycling entirely I use the fixie for short rides.

It rides bloody awesome! So much so i'm tempted to order another frame set and build one up identical for me in another fluro colour ha ha! Don't really need another bike without gears though .... except maybe an SS CX... hmmmmmmmmm
