The place for fixies and other rides without gears
Direct quote from Sheldon
'Most fixed-gear riders only use a front brake--a rear brake is quite unnecessary on a fixed-gear machine.'
'There is really no need for a rear brake on a fixed-gear bicycle. By applying back-pressure on the pedals, you can supply all the braking that the rear wheel really needs. In fact, it is fairly easy to lock up the rear wheel and make it skid, unless you are running a rather high gear.'
Got bars off a beachbike found on the tip
cut down to fit me
I like them (I wasn't sure I would but do... so much so that Ifound another set for one of my other bikes)
For around town it's good to sit up straight, as we have our share of nut drivers out to kill you
The bend back is kind on the wrists
Out of town I can lean forwards
