Fixie Olympics Melbourne?

Hi,
A guy in my local bike store was telling me about the "Fixie Olympics" that are held regularly in Melbourne. Apparently they were started by the local fixie running couriers and consist of a number of races across the CBD to deliver parcels via different routes. The olympics are a showcase Melbourne's fixie scene and culture. I live in Perth and would love to travel to Melbourne to see such an event. Can anyone confirm if this event is real and if so when is it? Cheers!

There are plenty of urban events held in Melbourne, but 'fixie olympics' isn't one of them. There was an alleycat called Trackolympics, but that was a one off and not restricted to fixed geared bikes.

I know its a tad late but I think you may mean the Melburn Roobaix. I think rego is 10 bucks and the organizers give you a map where you start from federation square and finish in some veledrome. I think it may be just fixies and SS's.
