Fixed/fixed v flip/flop

Postby BLU_FZ! » Tue Sep 21, 2010 8:51 pm

Guys, looking at buying some 36 hole Deep V`s from the states, but the only wheels available are fixed/fixed,i really want flip/flop.I know you can screw on the freewheel but is there enough threads to safely do this and would there be any long term disasters waiting to happen and would the chainline change between the 2 sides

Glen,

Get some Velocity seconds from Ideal in O'Connor, I have 36h Formula Hubs.

Yes enough thread for free/free, no chain line variation, 25mm from lock nut to inside of threads on both sides.
Cheers,
George.

A few days late I know, BUT for what it's worth I went for the Velocity Dyad, 36h front and rear with rear flip-flop. Ended up being very affordable. Sealed hubs and all. So far they have been wonderful and look great on an older frame (i.e. lugged steel).
