Fixie parts from USA?

Given that the USA has a bigger fixie/single speed scene than Australia and given our good exchange rate, does anyone have any recommendations/views on if its worth buy parts from USA? I'm still only interested in budget parts, so maybe it isnt worth it unless Im after more expensive parts? Any recommendation on places to look at?
