He has a point.Stovepipe wrote:if your solution to every minor speed bump is to take it to pony bikes, why dont you just take it there with all you have so far and say, "finish this for me". she'll get it done quick flash. it'll save you a heap of time and a few hundred posts, no?

Nice shiny new 'CHEAP' $60 cranks are probably crap.
Someone has offered you older but better quality cranks in the meantime BUT because they're not 'shiny' you won't take them.
Read the thread in Retro Biking > Japanese Randoneur Refreshed and think about what you are trying to achieve
Mods:
Lock this thread until he has pics of a finished bike.
He's 12 but he's not so dumb that he isn't playing us for idiots.

Aaron, if it bothers you so, why not just stop clicking refresh? What do you hope to achieve by having the thread locked?
Admittedly EvilGenius is going about things in a rather arse about fashion, but I say good on him. He's trying to build a bike and every time he hits an obstacle (which evidently is approximately every 3 seconds), he's asking people ON A LOCAL CYCLING FORUM for help
Get a grip mate
