I have frames that are ready to be sandblasted and powdercoated or rattle canned but I'm stuck on what colour to do the frame.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sRecently landed myself a free pair of Alex G6000 blue anodised rims (below). It's one of the first steps in my new single-speed build/conversion.

Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sBlack or white would go well with those. I bought the gold Alex's and have a green frame. Every time I look at my bike I want to paint it matte black!

Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sBlack would look badass, so I second that motion. Maroon also looks pretty nice against that anodised blue colour IMO

Ha, ha, ha, ha. So funny.
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000swhite would look fresh.
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sI wanted black rims with red tyres for my new fixie but picked up a set of the the blue rims like you've got and they're sorta growing on me...

Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sLate comer though wanted to throw lime green into the equation.
It really depends upon the result you are after ... and if you can trick your bike out with bits in the right colours to match. The advantage of lime green is that lime green tires look better than white tires. With a white frame and blue anodised rims, most people would go to black tires out of convenience and accessibility. Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000si'd go matt black. possibly blue grips / saddle
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sStevo: that set up looks nice, the matt black looks really cool
Here's my set up with those wheels, just as an idea.. black is a pretty safe option ![]() ![]()
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000s
+1 You can easily change the wheels but not the frame.
If you look carefully enough it's a man with blue-rimmed spectacles, with whispy eyebrows (the seat and the bars) and a pointy small nose. Amateur oenologist and green-friendly commuter.
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sThanks for the suggestions everyone. Still on the look out for a pair of cheap flip-flop hubs or something I can lace the rims up to.
Might just go black rattle can as it's just my 'bad' bike I'll probably use for commuting to uni. Also, what do you guys think of a raw frame with these?
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000sRaw would be awesome too.
My personal preference would be: White -> Black (ie -> = shades in between albiet gloss, metallic or matte)
Re: Frame Colour Suggestions w/ Alex G6000swhat about brown? tan, caramel, coffee - that kind of thing
