Hi all,
New to this forum.
I've been looking at getting a Fixie sometime now.
I just wanted a genuine opinion about this bike and what parts if any should be switched out.
http://www.feltbicycles.com/Australia/2 ... UGHAM.aspx
It retails for $750 but i can pick one up for $440 through a friend at a wholesale factory he works at.
Getting the black or Green one, they cant ship the chrome one into Australia
That being said i just wanted to see if people thought that was good value.
This will be my first fixie after riding SS for many years. I'm sure it will take a few weeks to get it down pat, but i will enjoy it more then the SS.
Any other advice would be great.
Cheers
And thanks for having me
Daniel

Welcome to the forum
Looks the goods and great price from your mate. Personally, I'd go for the dark green, very nice!
As for parts, I would replace as needed rather than for fashion's sake. The main thing to start would be to work out the gearing you will be using and change chain ring/sprocket to suit.
Good luck, enjoy and keep riding!

Thanks Pete!
Ya im thinking the green aswell, just a little different to most bikes aswell.
I'm not concerned of the fashion of bike mainly the components incase there was really any weak ones.
Cheers for the info.

Chrome one looks awesome. Pity you can't get it. Green looks good too.

Will need a bell and reflectors (pedal and wheels) before it meets AS requirements to be legally sold to you.
But good to see that it at least has brakes - presumably for the SS option. Without them, you'll be stress testing Darwins Law.
