though I do wonder how the fork stems manage to stay in on those Russian track machines with the bars mounted from the fork crown.

looks like the bars were integrated into the forks here and the way the forks were attached is similar to threadless headsets of today

I love those Takhion Aero bikes. I think someone should import vintage Russian track bikes. What a great business idea, they would sell like hotcakes to all those hipster kids ridding their fixies to uni.

That guy has some nice machines.

Even the bullhorns on that Takhion TT bike are different and have a kooky upward sweep...

A Merckx exactly the same, or perhaps that exact frame has materialised in Melbourne recently too...

I wish he wouldn't put bars with a 'dogs !!! spammer !!!' style grip setup on a lovely bike like the Merckx though - Oury grips are for mountain biking, not for vintage track bikes...
