The place for fixies and other rides without gears

So if anyone had been looking at the bowery thread on here, you would know that I went from this...
and accidentally did this to it...
So a new frame was in order, I settled for the All City Big Block.
So far its looking like this, unfortunately because of the frame the old front brake doesn't contact the wheel properly (too short)
Big thanks to Scott at Riders Choice in Leederville. very helpful and great to see prices like that in a shop, instead of just online.
I love the look of those all-city frames, my beater fixed gear might need an up-grade in the foreseeable future .
Really lovely looking bike.
By the looks you might not have the clearance, which is good because it means you can replace the front caliper with a longer reach one, but:
^ May or may not be helpful but still (very very cheap and means you don't have a superfluous caliper lying around, provided the drop bolt doesn't rub your wheel)... With more patience (read: a bit more attention with the file) you could make one of these look pretty good, i reckon.
That is a really cool idea, but as you say, it would require a bit more attention to file it into a nice looking mount.
I think what I'll be doing is getting a replacement instead though maybe for both, and have the other set as backup for future projects
the ride is awesome, far more comfortable than the alloy frame, feels solid but a very smooth ride. Ended up selling my carbon roadie, because I stopped riding it after getting the all city together
There are(were?) a couple of these listed on the dirtworks site in larger sizes, as completes. When I contacted a local Shop in Adelaide they said they could do one for $700 total. Pretty good buyin at that price.
http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=33641&category=119 700 complete is pretty damn good, universal wanted to charge me $290 in shipping when i asked them. Instead bought through riders choice in leederville which ended up being close to that price anyway. But that was just for the frame.
I hit this link http://184.108.40.206:8080/products/Prod ... 0BBLK58DRW
Contacted dirtworks ,who referred me to an Adelaide dealer. Hit em up via email and got Quoted $700 pickup if I wanted to order. Got distracted and declined but I'm sure the offer would be good through any of their dealers aus wide.
Looks fantastic mate, much better than the Bowery for sure. Let me know how the WI freewheel goes, I'm still running a Dicta but thinking of upgrading.
