Old Malvern Star Flite to fixed

Postby paolo_ski » Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:45 pm

Fresh off of another forum user's suggestion that you need not spend money to get a simple fixie, I went out the back and grabbed the old bike we had hanging around. So far I have taken off the back brakes and front derailleur as well as all the troublesome cables. The rear derailleur will be a mission for another day.
I plan to grind the large cog off the front set of cogs and I'm not yet sure what to do at the back.

This is the first time I have really done anything with a bike apart from fixing a puncture so any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

If anyone wants to see pictures, I just took a few snaps which I will upload as needed.

Thanks,
Paolo :)
