I hear a clicking noise when I ride my bike too! The location the sound is coming from is hard to pin down, however I have narrowed it down to either my left knee and/or right knee, however it could also be lower back, left or right ankle or just some residual hearing damage I have from attending a gig the Screaming Jets played at the Hallam Hotel in the mid 1990's. Hope that helps in some way.....

Make sure the wheels are on tight.

Had it long? If not it's a warranty issue.

Could be anything!

-handle bars loose In stem (mine creak occasionally when climbing)
-crank bolts loose
-chainring bolts loose (most likely)
-anything else that tightens or is fixed by bolts on the driveline loose

Would like more info on type of bike but for my 2c worth:

* Chain too tight or too loose
* Back wheel slightly off centre.
