Front Forks too wide

Postby johns_23 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:33 am

HI everyone,
just a pre warning that im very new to this so...........
Got my hands on a real nice 70's Cyclops frame as well as single speed wheelset.
Anyway, went to fit the front wheel and found that the forks were way too wide for the wheel.
Can this be rectified at all? or am i going to have to get new wheels?
any help would be great. thanks

Sorry about the no dimensions of wheels etc, dont have them on me but can ASAP

Depending on axle size/length, you can add spacers to the wheel to make it fit, however if the forks are more than th standard 100mm wide, I wouldn't bother with them or the rest of the frame. But that's me.
