Hi guys,
I am trying to find a solution for my Fixie build. I have a Italian Bianchi using the 70mm Italian BB. The shortest length I can find is 107, but ideally I need 103 to use the LASCO Track Fixie Road Bike Crank Crankset 165mm 46T.
The only option I can see is to fit the Shimano 70-107 UN55 Square Taper Bottom Bracket and Crank above, then fit some 2mm spacers to my Flip Flop wheel if that works?
Any other ideas?

Short version: you're gonna need an Italian BB. Italian BB's are threaded differently. That one won't even go in. I can't be more helpful till I'm home tomorrow and can search a bit more.
Edit: oh, and, you might get a longer one, and run the chainring on the INNER face of the tabs with successful chainline.

Dang...5pm reading eyes...sorry!
It will fit in the frame, but I still stand by the chainring statement. Rather than source a 102 BB. Adding spacers to the wheel won't fix a chain line issue without it going too far off centre.

Dont use garbage lasco cranks.
Get some Miche cranks & BB. Yes they are dearer, but matching cranks and BB will give you a good chainline.

Alternatively you can get a nice Stronglight track crankset from Ribble for $100
http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-t ... trochat300" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It will bolt straight onto your 107mm JIS bottom bracket and your chainline will be perfect. Plus you won't have to deal with cups loosening on the Miche bottom bracket. A bad habit they have.

Thanks for your help guys. So my setup above wont work?
The build is already heading towards $350. Not trying to sound cheap but was hoping to build it for under $300. With 100 crank its getting into low $400s.
But, if its the only option, its what I will have to do.

It'll work, try the chainring flip trick. That Lasco may last a long time, thereby offending puristsKillswitch wrote:Thanks for your help guys. So my setup above wont work?
