How does that coaster job work? Second gear kicks in at a certain cadence? I wouldn't want a bike that changed gears unexpectedly while merging in traffic....!

Let’s get serious now. The price for a complete build is USD$4,895, a pretty penny for a commuter, but this is a lifer.


Hooly Dooly... Yeah, a lifer maybe for people with more money than sense. Til they get distracted by the next big, overpriced thing.

I'm not 100% certain but usually it's a short back pedal to switch gears.

I've heard of those too, but the way it's worded in the article sounds like it works by cadence - though I dunno maybe it's written badly or I read it wrong.
