Crank forwards?

Does anyone on this forum have any experience with crank forwards?
I'm getting a bit curious about them, and starting to wonder if it is worth picking up, or putting together a CF frame, to utilise all my 700C running gear from my flat bar roadie.
I've had a quick look at the RANS bikes and framsets, but they seem to be awfully expensive, even just for a frameset.
Maybe someone knows if there are any in Vic that i might be able to try out?

Personally I like the LWB Tourezy style bike. Its not quite CF but very comfortable and fast. Take a look at recycledrecumbent.

Check your LBS's for Electra brand bikes, they do several CF bikes.
But I second the LWB, build it with twin 700's, major drawback is they are just so big compare to a CF or DF.
I had a couple of Chopper style bikes that are CF in all but styling bits and they were convenient and comfortable for a non recumbent.

I've never been a fan of CF bikes. They seem to have similar aerodynamics to DF bikes without their climbing capability of being able to stand on the pedals.

Of course, my needs are different to those who are most likely to get a CF bike. They may only want the bike to tootle off to the shops less than 5km away, in which case, a CF bike might be just the go.
