I like it because it is flexi and inexpensive. I cut out a piece of foam and wrapped it with cloth. Doesn't rattle the helmet as it is just over the seat enough to offer support for a tired neck.

Improvise (aka cheap) Head RestI get neck discomfort after a long ride and more so after changing the pad to ACS10. My previous pad is more foamy and do offer some support for the neck if stretched out. A full carbon headrest cost $$$ especially when taken into account the postage and packaging. So here is how I improvised.

Re: Improvise (aka cheap) Head Restnice one, it's always good when you can make something yourself.
Re: Improvise (aka cheap) Head RestNice job.
But what is/was an Ecko? Was it an egg slice or something? If you put the seat foam on it will be really cool as air flows through it and it will match you seat.
Re: Improvise (aka cheap) Head Rest
It's a frying pan spatula which Mrs is no longer using due to too flexi. Works great for a "headrest". I have used all the ACS10 in the seat pad. Will have to salvage a small peice from the seat to wrap it with when I have some free time.
Re: Improvise (aka cheap) Head RestNice one MacGyver, Looks factory
That's one hot looking beast you ride. Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.
