Aussie forums first this time.
This is the final prototype of my new version, yet to be named, which will hopefully happen before any of the less than ideal or unpleasent names stick.
Getting all the glitches ironed out still, first proper ride tomorrow with a group.
There are still some very temporary details;
The paint is just left over bits for showing up surface imperfections. I haven't started final surfacing until I'm completely happy with the feel. Had to stiffen a section or two already.
Suspension rubbers are temporary. I have a neat set-up planned that gives full variable ride height and angle, as well as suspension travel and stiffness all in one adjustment, possibly even on the fly.
In "race mode" the seat is just shy of the rear wheel with near to no suspension travel. Both trailing arms can lift the ride height and angle up, giving lots of soft suspension and better low speed steering control in cross country mode.
She is fast, very happy with the huge jump in average speed and top end.
A few hundred K's on this one, and I'm planning on setting up an optimized and surfaced plug to mould, ready for the first composite version.
Would be happy to take on board any suggestions on paint scheme or names.

Rossco that is one very interesting design and front pivot it looks really slick and congrats on the build I look forward to seeing it completely finished when your happy with it to take that step. I take it's made from CF and when I first set eyes on the image the name of that prehistoric flying bird is what I thought off so a modification of that birds name for your machine.

Thanx everyone for the encouragement and some really great ideas.
I have never done a poll before, although have implemented one here to keep a list of names going.
I have a similar thread going on a BROL thread now, and am mixing the ideas back and forward.
Really like the suggestions of Ibis and Lubos, as well as Toucan (from BROL).
Colour combination a little something like this 'Busa.(If I dare)

The beauty of toucan is that I could implement the idea into my rough concept of a paint scheme. White with bright, maybe limish green highlights. I never thought i would think of such a combination, although this is all about stepping out and doing something a bit different with this one.Gizmo-LI wrote: ....
Why not give it a name and some artistic inspiration too.

The Vulture. Not the fighter, the bird.
Just a pity that birds don't have teeth, you've got room to paint a pretty health grin on, to greet oncoming traffic.

Why not call it Cyrano (De Bergerac)?
Every time somebody made fun of his nose, he whipped out his sword and gave them a hiding.
This looks like it could do the same if someone made fun of it.
Nice one.
