Relax mate, it's a cartoon.....it's not real oh, and John Lewis, is the missus now missing parts of her Ab Swing?
No. Thats Dick's bike. He had the AB Swing bits and didn't want a mesh seat so thats what we made. Changed his tune now the hot weather is here though.
Simpsons look good. Have to build one of those low racers.

Hi Leigh,
The purple one rides better than the blue to me because it doesn't have the tiller effect in the steering. Unfortunately had to rake the fork a lot to get it right but several thousand km on it now and it hasn't been a problem

Interesting...
yes I'm glad I went with uss as it cuts out that problem of the tiller effect
We've started nutting out a "lean trike" for the next one... but these endless little [and big ] things to think on before we even start.
But I think we might have to get a tour in before even starting.

I'd post a pic of my 'bent, but I can't, because of newness.
You can take a look by cutting and pasting the following into your browser address bar and changing the xxx to www and yyy to com

Welcome John.
Very nice bike there: it looks like a very fast machine. I hope the yellow thing is a traffic advisory sign saying "Caution - Low Flying Planes"
Cheers,
Graeme

Nope, it's a headrest. If there was a sign, it would read "Old Man, homemade Bike, please pass".
The bike might be fast, but I am not. (I do have a tail fairing for it that adds a couple of km/hr), but in general I like to long-distance cruise at about 35 or so, with an average speed on undulating terrain in the low 30's. That's fast enough that you stay with most of the recreational DF'ers, but I ride it for comfort, mainly.

Hey John, where did you get the design and what is it made of?
Or did you you just run it up out of your head?
The basic proportions are the style that appeals to me.
Maybe some specs for us - what are your wheels etc?
Dave.

Leigh, your Limo exactly what I'm looking for in my build project. What is your experience of it? Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Vic

Dave,
The design is a mishmash of ideas from the Zephyr and VK. You can read more about it on my web site:
http://www.aerialpursuits.com/misc/bents.htm
The bike is a carbon version of the "Noodler", made to the same proportions. Here they are.
Wheelbase 1240 mm Front wheel 20 inch (406) DID aero with Primo Comet tyre Rear wheel 26 inch (559) DID Aero with Primo Racer tyre Gears (8x2 speed) Highest: 53, 11 Lowest: 39, 34 Cranks Bontrager (Truvativ) 165mm Head angle 70-71 deg Trail 44mm Fork offset 39mm Seat height 30cm BB height 56cm BB height above seat base 24cm Seat angle 25 deg approx

I remember when the first San Ans came on the market, they were like the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. All I ever wanted was a San Ans or a Foes Fab, never did realise that dream, had a nice Cannondale SV for a while though.

Lots of work and innovation in there John.
Nice job.
Reminds me of this one from the early 90's.
