The slowly growing recumbent bunch at http://www.brisbanecyclist.com is organising another informal fun ride 7am next Sunday, 4th of March at Nudgee Criterium Track. This time, we will meet at the criterium and spin for a few laps and then head north to Sandgate waterfront for some brekkie/coffee. Expect to see a velomobile, tadpole trikes, high racers, and a long wheel base. More info here: http://www.brisbanecyclist.com/events/b ... nd-meet-up

If that is the group that nitramluap posted a video about then I'm sure it will be fun.
It looked like you guys had a ball trying out each others bikes/trikes/velo and then off to the coffee shop.
Wish I was there with you guys.

Yes, this is the same group. It was indeed a fun day riding! Lots of recumbent grins

According to OZHPV website, there was one, not sure if they are still active though.

OzHPV membership and events ebb and flow in some areas due to lack of an organiser.
The benfits of organising under the OzHPV banner and becoming members is that as an entity with insurance you can do stuff like, organise rides, hire venues for races and promote yourself.
The risks to a member organiser are reduced because of the insurance coverage and entity incorporation.
Besides that it would be great to keep groups all under the same banner and they can organise events as they choose.
OzHPV is alo a member organisation of the WHPVA.
Rant off.
