Entries are now open for the 2013 OzHpv Challenge to be held in Wodonga on
September 14 and 15. Details and entry forms are available on the ozhpv website
at ozhpv.org.au. We plan to organise a day ride on the rail trails near Wodonga
the day before the races, September 13, watch this mailing list for further
The Challenge has a long history dating back to 1994 when a group of Canberra
cyclists ran it as part of a bike festival. Within a few years it became a
defacto national Human Powered Vehicle Championship with competitors from
interstate taking part.
In 2000, the Challenge moved away from its Canberra home and was run in
Shepparton under the auspices of OzHpv. This let the Canberra mob relax a bit
and leave the organisation to the Mexican (Victorian) ozhpv members.
For several years the Challenge has been held in Wodonga on the NSW Victorian
Border. The Challenge offers a variety of races designed to test all aspects of
a vehicle's performance.
Ok, well we just need all the entries to come flooding in! See you in Wodonga
or the Geelong Event on September 1.
