Hi all,
Did a fantastic ride todays. Lots of hills = lots of thrilling down hill. It was fun!!! (dangerous too).
We had coffee at the beach side cafe and met up with a doctor friend. He was on the early flight into Coffs and he saw me as he was flying in. I did remember seeing a Virgin flight and was probably 500 - 1000m. So there you go - recumbent is also visible from the air.
Regards
Chong

Maybe you should exercise caution around airports you could be confused with the outer beacons since you can be easily seen from the air.Low Racer wrote:Hi Harry,
No flag on the low racer. Too much drag. I run the rear Dinotte light in blinking mode and df friends from behind commented they could see the light 1km ahead of them (in bright sun light). Seriously bright light.

I almost got collected by a cement-mixer this morning.
I was heading roughly west early in the morning, so the sun was behind me, and even though I was wearing a fluro yellow jacket, the driver didn't see me and pulled out of a driveway right in front of me. Had to slam on the brakes and the bike fell down from under me.
Maybe the driver did see me but didn't care - he didn't seem very apologetic when I glared at him when he finally did look at me directly.
