Hello all
Sorry for the continuing newb questions (but hey, I am!) but I'm wanting to buy some cycling shoes to suit the new trike, however I'm not totally sure what suits the pedals I have got.
I'm pretty sure these are clipless, but what exactly matches them shoe wise? I think I'd prefer MTB shoes so I can wear them as shoes when I get to my destination etc.
Thanks
Craig
what shoes suit these pedals?

Yep, MTB/touring shoes with SPD cleats like this.
There's a very wide range of shoes you can get to suit those cleats, ranging from MTB to touring to road to more unusual ones like SPD sandals or the very nice Shimano UT70 shoes. I have a pair of them and while they are nowhere near as stiff as road shoes they are much better than ordinary runners, and they look very spiffy.

Cheers thanks for that, fills in my lack of knowledge!
And yes those shoes indeed look sharp! Almost like a pair of business shoes.

I forgot to say, if those don't quite suit you could check out the other Shimano "Click'r" models, which are all intended not to look like cycling shoes. I'm sure there are other brands who would have similar offerings too.

Has anyone warned you about the dangers of riding a trike without them? That if you foot slips off it can be caught under the trike?gudism wrote:Sorry for the continuing newb questions (but hey, I am!) but I'm wanting to buy some cycling shoes to suit the new trike, however I'm not totally sure what suits the pedals I have got.

Yeah I have read about foot suck, nasty sounding. I do have toe clips on which help somewhat.
But want to go clip less ASAP as my foot doesn't feel secure enough. Just have to find some money to buy some and my big foot (eu 49) makes it hard to find cheap 2nd handers!
