Views and opinions required

Postby gretaboy » Mon Mar 17, 2014 7:27 am

Hi all, I am after opinions and advice as I am looking at getting a recumbent trike. I am going down this path due to my injuries. I am 6'2" and currently weigh around 91 k's.

on the weekend I went and visited Craig at Recumbent and Specialised cycling, he was fantastic with his time and advice I will say. From this visit I am leaning towards the HP Velotechnik Scorpion fs26...anyone got views or advice on the HP trikes.

I was able to have a small test ride and loved it but in saying this, it wasnt an extensive test, hence my request for advice opinions

Read and take from it what you can. If you go to the forum on the same sight you would find allot more info about bents in general.

Thanks for that...seemed he focused more on the electric assist than the actual trike, if I read it right. I did test an electric assist trike and whilst it was great, it felt like I was cheating and the extra cost is way to expensive, for me anyways.

In case you missed them, the second one is quite good to read.
Good luck

Thanks for those links, were good reads and very informative. Now just have to submit paperwork to the powers to be and hopefully I get to be the owner of a recumbent trike
