Recumbent Videos

Postby Aushiker » Mon Oct 06, 2014 11:19 am

I thought there might be more interest in recumbent specific videos here rather than in the POST YOUTUBE HERE! thread so have started this thread. If you are so inclined please do share those recumbent videos that grab your interest including your own of course :)

To get things started ... playing in the bush with a trike. Check out the air at around 1:12 and the little surprise at 3:08 and oh crank-up the sound :)

That's very hairy!! Was he on the wrong side of the road? Looks like he was cycling against the traffic.

That setup is as ugly as sin can't say I like the trailing wheel look...... I'm not sure I see the benifit maybe it's something you have to ride to see and feel what the gains are.

Interesting direction, surely slower now with an extra wheels worth of drag...?

Hi, I've been quite involved in this, having made the adapter kit to go from cruzbike to tilting trike. The video shows that the wheelset at the back makes the whole thing more stable at speed and this is what I've experienced as well. More details from my side of the story are at http://modularbikes.blogspot.com.au/201 ... ilean.html

I always envisaged something with both wheels at the same wheelbase using something like the Springfree trampoline poles in a typical IRS triangulated suspension configuration. The walker axle provides some benefits for ride, where as the triangulated IRS is easier for the populace to accept and is self righting.

Here's my homebuilt tilting full-suspension trike before I painted it and got rid of the squeaks!

Wow now that's a machine man!!!
Wish I had front suspension, how's the tilt feel when pushing through a corner ?
Don't Panic
And I don't know
Ride casual... Not to casual
They might snap out it's comfortable !!
