Postby Bargo » Wed Oct 19, 2016 10:57 pm

Has anyone used a tail sock (like the ones terracycle sell) on a high racer two wheeler and dud it make a difference

Also has anyone used a front fairing on a high racer?

I haven't tried it yet but I'd love to give it a go on my Giro.

Cheers,

Some years ago on the Bacchetta email list the (late lamented I am afraid) Birdy made a full spandex body sock for her Bacchetta and said it made a lot of difference.

A few others had used tail socks but the verdicts were mixed, some noticed a lot of difference, some not much. I think without a fairing you would have to work on streamlining the wind surface a lot to have the tail smoothing be useful.
