The owner of the Sign of The Takahe in Christchurch New Zealand makes a fool of himself in the NZ Press:

I would suggest that cyclists heading up the Port Hills avoid the Takahe and have a cuppa at The Sign of The Kiwi further up Dyers Pass Road.

or the alternative, go in complain loudly, :lol: putting off other customers, then go up the road and spend your money

It's about another 10kms to The Sign of The Kiwi and the view up there is much better.
