Hi my name is Sally I'm 25 and from melbourne, and I'm planning a trip to cycle around Europe this summer, starting in June and probably going for around 4 months or so. At this stage I'm going solo but I'd much prefer to have a cycle buddy! I would like to cycle in Norway//Sweden, and head south jumping across to Eastern Europe, going through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. This plan is really rough though, I'm very flexible. I plan to camp along the way and just cruise, not planning to bust my boiler! I am a friendly and easy going person, anyone out there interested? my email is sallywemyss@gmail.com

Cheers.

If you're on http://www.warmshowers.org, and every cyclist SHOULD be, put this posting there.

Enjoy Europe

I actually just found this board while trying to find info about cycle touring in Europe! I'm looking to go in April, hopefully for 4 or 5 months. Not definite, but more so by the day.

I'll send you an email, see if we might cross paths.

I'm planning/scheming a touring in Europe too starting mid-late August and going for around 4 weeks.

Have almost all of my gear sorted except for shelter, sleeping and a few other items (what sort of shorts to wear etc).

I was thinking going from northern Germany (Hamburg), taking the ferry over to Denmark, and then heading north into central Sweden via Copenhagen (and back along a different route, same direction). However i am still not sure about the weather this late in the season as it will be rapidly be getting cooler. September temps seems to be around ~12-16 degrees C during the day and ~4-6 degrees C min temps which is cool, but not horrible. I had heard all these stories about wild camping in Scandinavia but apparently there aren't many places suitable unless you are really out in the boonies up north. Anywhere around populated areas isn't very suitable for wild camping.
