Mmmm..... cobbles. I think I'd rather ride the Thorn 26" expedition bike over those. We struck some in the centro storicos of Italian towns and cities, but never on country lanes. The cobbled streets in Naples and Siracusa were really rugged.

Bottom of the Koppenberg? ... loved riding the cobbles around there!

Thanks IlP. Some sections were very rough, and long - I think the Holleweg was the worst, really rough and about 1km long.

Yes TLL that was the Koppenberg... Looks lovely down at the bottom... but then...
