Bike show! What a joke! The judges had 5 or 6 hours to look at the bikes. Yet left the judging till the last minute. A quick 20 second over all look at all the bikes from 10 meters away was all that was needed to decide the Dragster in the top right of the photo was the â€best†bike there?

Re: Bike show! What a joke!Come check out my fooly sikk bike maaaaate! No you can't f****** ride it you bozo! Nobody can!
It's all about bling these days, stuff craftsmanship and hard work. Dills wouldn't have noticed the engineering on that rear end if you belted 'em with a brake rotor. Can I see lots more of this trike Turk? Please. Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Bike show! What a joke! For what its worth, you have a prize machine there imho.
What do they know, hey. Never mind the bollocks.. Dude, you are towing a BBQ and esky with that bike, simply, how can anything possibly be better than that! -
Re: Bike show! What a joke!Nice work WT, very nice work. You've got the respect and admiration of fellas that know about bikes. I reckon that's far more valuable than a cheap $5 trophy.

Re: Bike show! What a joke!Yours is awesome. Don't worry about judges in these things - it is all looks and no substance. Besides, the Guinness Book of Records is something to really brag about - what is it in for?
Re: Bike show! What a joke!Oh wow.
That front end is a brilliant bit of fabrication and well thought out too. Just 'cos it aint shiny. Idiots Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Bike show! What a joke!Ok it's in the Guinness Book of Records. But only because some freak was towing people down the street with his eye sockets? Mind you the trike has only been in public 3 times now.
Page 77 in the latest edition (2010). The caption claims its a rickshaw in Milan. I think the dude lost the pics of him setting the record in Milan. So when he was in Adelaide for the Fringe Festival last year. He heard about the trike and got some pictures as Guinness had asked for some? I rode the trike in the opening parade and then left it at a mates house for a few days. Then I get a phone call to tell me what I just explained. I never met him. Or the freak show following him around. I have thought about doing some kind of advertising with a big multinational company? Its hard to walk past it without looking. So with a brand name on it I might be worth something?
Re: Bike show! What a joke! It's a beautiful bike man, don't devalue it by pimpin it out to the corporate dollar... ![]()
Re: Bike show! What a joke!I hear what you are saying. Thats why I have ony thought about it.
Re: Bike show! What a joke!If it was all crome & Bling as Fk you prob would of won,
Thats all the judges look for these days, Total BS some guy just goes n buys a nasty china peace of showtime bike and wins.... Hey its a one of kind ,thats what im all about man no one else has one, as for the winner anyone can go buy one of thoes, I had one once there so cheaply made & are so overpriced. Great bike very well made...If you can make some money of your bike you'd be crazy not to consider it !
Re: Bike show! What a joke!well that's what you get for entering a trike into a bike show
(it does look like a sweet piece of work though)
Re: Bike show! What a joke!turk , why do you care so much what these judges think?
did you build it for them?? I'm sure that most people with taste in bikes agree that you have done a good job ! Do you really need to proof that with a 'best bike' award? The dutch have one word to describe the aussie MHL, this word is ;
SCHIJNVEILIGHEID !!
Re: Bike show! What a joke!
Well said! totally agree. The trike looks great you have to be happy with it! Its a shame you didnt get just reward for the extra efforts you put in to have it ready for show time! Do you have another build coming up?
Re: Bike show! What a joke! That's an awesome bike

Re: Bike show! What a joke!I saw that bike ages ago - the original frame was two Huffy Deploys welded together, yeah? I love it. I would love to make something similar. Though maybe not with the home made suspension. One day, one day....

Re: Bike show! What a joke!I have loads of build shots. Loads of stories about where I scabbed the scap metal bits too. And I will work just how many bikes died to make this happen.
Be up soon.
Re: Bike show! What a joke!Cool looking forward to it.
