Tounge of fire........... They make freak bikes! Don't see much of them these days. Though they update this....

http://lalenguadelfuego.blogspot.com/

The Knuckle heads young dudes ride Dragsters from down south. Again we havn't heard much from them in the last year or so.

Some crew of carpet Queens out north called the Classic cruisers? They once made nice bikes but hardly ride from what we see.

There are fixie crews aswell like the Alley Cats. The Black hearts used to play with retro stuff but just hide in there sheds these days.

West side? once had a shop and rode a little but have vanished as far as we can tell. Maybe just do show bikes.

Some of the Screaming Emus ride vintage motorized bikes when they are not ripping up my back yard on off roaders!

The Boneshakers are the only consistant crew that meets and rides almost every week and have done for years. We Meet at the weir on the Torrens around 7pm almost every Friday night. Then roll to the bay and back. Last saturday about 20 of us bombed down the old freeway and have other special rides throughout the year.

I have a shed full of NOS retro bike gear. Drop me a PM if you are looking for old stuff.

Don't forget the Hodads
We are a few surfing buddies who like to ride as well. Originally influenced by the Boneshakers.
We are not as hardcore as the Boneshakers but we we still manage a city night ride a few times a year.
We also do the odd hill climb, or beach cruise.

There is also another bike group that I think they call themselves the MLC (mid life crisis) that cruise the beach as well.

Hi new to this forum, interested in meeting up with other cruisers in Adelaide...I currently have this chopper/cruiser which I got from gumtree, realized it's a tad bit too big for me and I'm now looking into getting another one. Saw a few in Standish Bicycles might get one soon.
Hope to see more cruisers now that weathers is better...
cheers.

G'day mate and welcome. I own an Electra Rat Fink 1st series. My wife has beach cruiser, and my son has a '79 Malvern Star dragster.
Was the cruiser you got from Gumtree from a seller out at Two Wells?

Nah, it was from some guy near The Parade, Norwood.
Is there anybody going for a ride? would like to meet other Cruiser/Chopper enthusiasts...

p.s.
I am thinking of getting one of those bikes from Project 346, the Basman... any opinions?

Do you have a pic of your bike?
I'm spending my weekends renovating my kitchen at the moment, but we generally do Sunday rides at Semaphore or Glenelg.
My email is mrmorbid@ozemail.com.au if you want to shoot me a message, we can tee up a ride.
I love Bassman frames. Team it up with a set of 80mm Rigida rims.
Cheers,
Darren

Have you thought of building your own frame?
If not, I spotted a guy on a firebike frame on the Amy's Ride the other week and I think he has a bike shop in Mawson Lakes.
Mawson Lakes Cycles 82607167
He imports frames and billeted whells, not to mention big fat tyres.
Mind you I don't think they are cheap, but it is good to see and might be worth supporting in some way. Keep Adelaide at the forefront of custom cycling in Australia.

My Basman hasn't arrived yet, It should come this week, As soon as I get it up and running I'll definitely get in touch with you peeps to schedule a ride down Semaphore or something.

I am keen on getting the bigger tyres on it, will have to check out that shop in Mawson Lakes for sure.

No worries Liquidchild, just shoot me an email when you are ready.
I'm guessing the Basman is running 26" rims, so for wider tyres check out Fat Franks or Thick Bricks.

HI, My Basman has finally arrived. Went to the shop to have a look at it, it looked sic. Too bad I could not take it home coz it was too big to fit in the SUV, fortunately they agreed to deliver it. Hopefully soon.

I was wondering if there is a place/shop I can bring it to, to sorta pimp it out. I want to change the rim's and tyres, put a headlight, change the pedals and install a gear lever (instead of the one in the handle bars)...

Cheers.

Oh btw here is the pic of the bike I got off Gumtree... (it's for sale)
I took out the fenders coz it kept rubbing into the tires, took the brakes out too coz it was all rusty.
