Oh, that's slick...

Having a crack at a part refurbishment/freshen up of an old 20" Northern Star

Pulled it apart and as I have new rims for it had to get a new front hub as well as it originally had a 28H hub as couldn't find a 28H rim and didn't want gaps in it due to old rims too far gone

Just about done only a couple more things to do like chain, chain guard and handgrips. Used Mazda's Soul Red Metallic paint that I got mixed up in a pressure pack (ended up being 3 cans - a base coat, a color top coat then the clear...) but the color looks great out in the sun as there is pearl and metallic in it!! Fairly happy with the end result so far....

Nice work. It's a bit of a change from the old.f I'd like mine to look that good, but too many projects on the boil, and it's not high up the priority list.

Thanks bazzil, the tyres are just a standard 20x1.75 whitewall http://www.saintside.com/product/tyre-2 ... whitewall/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and rims are an Araya knock-off in anodised red!

The 40yr old tubes still hold air....at least they got me around the block...I don't think I should venture too far .. just in case

Here's my Schwinn Oceanside Cruiser:

I've had it for a couple of weeks, and I'm having a tonne of fun on this bike.

If you're interested, since getting back in the saddle after many years, I've been keeping track of my rides on my blog with an app and photos: https://sierrakilobravo.wordpress.com/tag/cycling/.

Did you ignore your thread for help or not bother to read it? Read it again and try to work it out.
