G'day everyone. I'm looking to buy either an Electra Straight 8 or a ghost rider, I am 5'9 & around the 100kg's.
I cant find anyone in S.E. Melbourne that has both of them to test ride. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!

My son just picked up a Straight 8 viewtopic.php?f=30&t=84176#p1274421and I'm about the same height and weight as you.
The bike is well big enough for me (they are a lot bigger in real life than they look in pictures)
It's longer than my Giant Rincon mountain bike and with the Fatti-O tyres the wheels are a bit bigger too.
I suppose it depends on how much you want to stretch out while you are riding.
But it is without a doubt the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden, you would not regret getting one at all.
Not too good on the hills (it is a cruiser after all) but I've no problems walking it up the ones I can't make it up 'cause the the thing is such a great bike to ride.

I knew you wouldn't regret it!
My son always has people coming up to tell him how cool it is
Well worth the money on cool value alone... but with added comfort built in.
Throw a photo up!

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.
