Radioshack given Pro license

Postby heay » Sat Oct 17, 2009 8:33 am

As the head line says they have been granted a 4 year pro license and will start with the tour down under next year. Just how good will this team be considering they are new. I know most of the team has been around foe sometime but you have to work as a team. Will Lance's new team be able to get him to the yellow in the TDF 2010?

4 years? That's a pretty long one.

Otherwise there are so many old hands in that team, I doubt they'll have too much teething troubles to make it uncompetitive.
Bianchi, Ridley, Tern, Montague and All things Apple :)

it's not really new. leipheimer and bruyneel are close and proven allies of Lance.

i get the feeling Lance doesn't tolerate the sorts of shenanigans that seem to occur at some other teams with lesser leaders.

whether he can get into yellow - i think it would be another chapter in his amazing life story if he did.

That's what I was thinking as they have been put on notice to show that they have enough money and not get themselves in the same problems as they did this year before the Tour.

4 years wow that's way too long for Team Radioshack their best four riders are Lance Armstrong (38) levi leipheimer (36) Chris Horner (38) and Andreas Kloden (34). will any of them be their in two years? let alone four....? To be honest i thought the team was just made to win Lance an 8th yellow jersey which should only take one year and then he would retire again.

The Shack is just Astana Mk 2 good doms but there not going to win in Spring or after July. 4 yrs is just to long a license for someone who just moves on once his intrests have been served, its going to be Disco all over again as soon as Lance stops racing Radioshack will lose intrest and Lance cant be bothered finding a new sponsor. one year would have been more than enough and to be honest they dont even need that ASO will definetly invite his team Pro Tour License or not

Can't LA just take up a role in Coaching or Team Manager?
