What a fantastic bit of road racing. Yes, I know Vasseur won, but I've been a fan of Jens Voigt for a long time. He's a gun rider and very watchable. My only complaint is that Fletcha wasn't there at the finish.

Glad I stayed up for it.

I was crossing my fingers for Voigt too. He's a machine and does so much for others that I like to see him get a win. Oh well. Suppose a Frenchman deserved to win sooner or later :)

Voigt got caught out on his right, but tell you what, I think the guy who missed out was that Swiss chap who stuck to Voigt all the way. Albanessi or summat like that... he was there strong in third, but coulda been much closer had he (and Voigt) not been caught looking over left when Vasseur started down their right.

Breaking news - It's snowing in Marseilles . . . no wait . . . it's just the crappy picture because the BLOODY PLUMBERS BROKE OUR ANTENNA

I'll have to struggle up on to the roof tonight and fix it. The only way up is by putting a folding ladder on the landing and scrapping my body over the gutter. The gutter hangs out 1/3 of the way out on to the landing so its a fine line between death and good TV reception.

You can't use a rabbit ear indoor antenna to help out?

And I was marvelling last night, at how CLEAR and CRISP the picture is on my new tele, and how VIVID the colours are

And may a drawing pin delivery truck drop it's load in front of you.

Seriously though, don't have any rabbit ears. There are no rabbits up here.

Pity we didn't have just one TV. I could tell my wife it's rooted and we could replace it with an LCD. We're waiting for it to pack it in so we have an excuse to upgrade.

It was a tense finish. The lead 5 were watching each other so intently I was half expecting them to end up crossing the line without realising it while still coasting at 20kph waiting for someone else to make the first move...

Another drug scandal? See http://tdf.sbs.com.au/index.php?pid=news&cid=413

So all Germans suffer because one rider may have cheated and is no longer in the race anyway.

There will be a lot Germans travelling over the border in the next two weeks just to watch TV.

Old practice dies hard. It's really pathetic that there's still riders who are willing to cheat. Given the history, I think a life time ban is well worth it. And that's what people like Landis should receive.

All hail the high and righteous TV stations....I forgot that they are all saints and we have elected them to there esteemed psitions and that we must then accept what they deem to supply us!....except SBS of course

That's damn unfair on every cleanskin in the race, why can't they just blur out T-Mobiles colours and not mention the name in the footage?

T-Mobile ride Giant, that should be enough of a performance boost already. :P

Does that mean I shouldn't buy a Giant again? They need drugs to perform? :)

It is all caused by plastic bikes full of chemicals used in the manufacturing processes...the riders rub against them all day and the chemicals leach into their systems.Giant obviously has the strongest chemicals used in their plastic fantastics.
Me I ride hard wood frames and rims exclusively from the everlasting forests of Tasmania

G'day

Team T-Mobile's press release on the subject is at http://www.t-mobile-team.com/tmo_team/s ... ref/889390

I wonder if them being a German team had anything to do with the German TV's action?

Regards
