Nah mate, you managed it honestly, they're doing it dishonestly. Of the two, you are the one hard done by.

from an article in this mornings New York times
Fausto Coppi of Italy, who won the Tour in 1949 and 1952, was once
asked if he ever fueled himself with amphetamines.
“Only when necessary,” he said.
How often was that?
“Most of the time,” Coppi replied.

Jacques Anquetil of France, a five-time winner, once said with
sarcasm, “Do they expect us to ride the Tour on Perrier water?”

If I thought EPO might make a difference, I may consider it. But there are 2 things stopping me (only 2 :? ).

Firstly, I faint and throw up (simultaneously) at the sight of a needle so could never inject myself.

Secondly, to get through all the fat I'd need a REALLY BIG needle  thus calling my first issue into play in a really big way.

S'pose there was a reason I ride the CR1 and Mayo rode the ummm... Addict!!

I read an article several years ago that said in the early days of EPO doping one way of working out the dopers was that they were the ones walking the corridors of the hotel in the early hours of the morning to keep their blood flowing.

Injecting into the fat layer is not an issue. You are fine there. ;)

Well, riding an addict bike really does attract attention doesn't it? Silly Mayo!
