Le Kangourou

Rupert Guiness in the SMH tomorrow reckons they'll be 15 or more aussies in this year's tour. That beats the old record of ten aussies in a Tour. Although there are 23 aussies contracted to 22 teams his 15 are:

Allan Davis (Astana)
Cadel Evans (BMC)
Heinrich Haussler (Cervelo) *
Brett Lancaster (Cervelo)
Wesley Sulzberger (La Francaise des Jeux)
Matt Wilson (Garmin)
Trent Lowe (Garmin)
Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia)
Mark Renshaw (HTC-Columbia)
Adam Hansen (HTC-Columbia)
Robbie McEwen (Katusha)
Luke Roberts (Milram)
Matt Lloyd (Omega Pharma-Lotto)
Stuart O’Grady (Saxo Bank)
Simon Gerrans (Sky)

Haussler has a question mark with his knee injury.

How many aussie stage wins? Certainly potential there.

I didn't see anything that Haussler won't be there.. but he may have to make up for it as a waterboy.

Haussler, maybe yes.

O'Grady, breaks collarbone at Tour Of California, says he hopes to be back racing the Tour de Suisse!!!! Tough guy. Pencil him in for Tour de France unless something else goes wrong.

Porte: neo-pro. Doubt his team would follow up a phenomenal performance in the Giro by completely blowing him up on the Tour as well. Doesn't happen these days. (but you knew that).
